Streszczenie
Characteristics of growing process of children and andolescents polish origin from Byelorussia. Auxological investigation carried out in Poland and in other countries indicate a clear influence of social and environmental stratification on realisation of the process of growth. Inter-environmental differences in the countries of the former Soviet Union are much more distinctive than in Poland. The process of growth of children and adolescents from Iwieniec, Kamien and Siwica is compared in this paper to those of children and adolescents of the same age from Białowieża (Malinowski et al., 1992), Sambor, Ukraine (Malinowski, 1997) and the Central Regions of Byelorussia (Salivon et al., 1989). The material of the investigation was collected for processing in September 1997. There were 197 boys and 205 girls measured. Height, body mass, breadth of shoulders and hips, breadth and depth of chest were considered in the analysis. In order to evaluate tendencies of change among Byelorussian children and adolescents from rural areas, normalisation of the presently investigated values into values concerning children and adolescents of the same age investigated during the eighties.
