Streszczenie
In clinical terms male infertility is not well defined and with vague etiopathogenesis. Pharmacological tratment of men is greatly ineffective. Thus, empirical therapeutic methods based on artificial reproduction techniques have been instituted. Since evaluation of the reproductive potential of patients with oligo-, astheno-, and teratozoospermia encounters a number of problems, treatment with homologous insemitation or even classic in vitro fertilization were effective only in a small percentage of childless couples. Recent years have brought advanced techniques of artificial reproduction which use microsurgical injection of sperm to the cytoplasm of oocytes, radically changing management strategy in diagnostics and therapy of infertile married couples, in which male factor is the predominant or concomitant cause of childlessness.
