Streszczenie
The birth of Loise Brown in year 1978 can be helped many of infertile couples to overcome their infertility resulting in a delivery and birth of live and in good health child. Medicine, in this moment, have brought advanced techniques of artificial reproduction which in virto fertilization and injection of sperm to the cytoplasm of oocyte to helped of infertile couples. Increased public necessity in treating of infertility and improvements in assisted reproduction technology (ART) cause stable rise of children born using this technique in human population. So question arises how save are those procedures and what is a condition of children obtained using that treatment. Population investigations show that ART children have only slightly higher risk of premature parturitions, congenital malformations and predisposition to some diseases. There are however no reliable data dealing with fertility and possibility of genetic malformation transfer to the progeny of individuals born with help of that technique. Therefore it is impossible to present an unambiguous opinion if ART influences the genetic state of human population.
