Wpływ Szkoły Rodzenia na subiektywną ocenę przygotowania teoretycznego i sprawnościowego do porodu

Streszczenie
Aim: The goal of this study is to assess the effect of Prenatal Classes on acquired knowledge of the labor process and on advantages of physical preparation among pregnant women.
Subject and methods: 30 women attending Prenatal Classes and 30 who were not attending Prenatal Classes were recruited to the study. The study was carried out twice: before starting Prenatal Classes Course and after accomplishing it. Measurements were carried out in the analogical gestational age in the group of pregnant women, who were not attending Prenatal Classes. Each time, both groups where given own questionnaire.
Results: Percentage of women attending Prenatal Classes Course claiming „I would like to learn about the proces of labor” decreased about 40%. Percentage of gravidas after Prenatal Classes Course, which utilised exercises learned was 80%, and among gravidas not attending the course was 40%.
Conclusions: 1. Subjective assessment of knowledge about labor and of physical preparation to labor was higher among women after Prenatal Classes Course. 2. Prenatal Classes attendance increases the awarness of utilising the exercises learned.
