Ocena skuteczności fizykoterapii w uśmierzaniu bólu towarzyszącego reumatoidalnemu zapaleniu stawów

Streszczenie
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic connective tissue disease with characteristic symmetric joints inflammation leading to disability. Pain and edemas of joint became the barrier for normal functioning patients with RA, therefore wide range of physical therapy is needed.
The aim of this study was evaluation of pain reduction in physical therapy, its impact on level morning stiffness and edemas of joint also patients evaluation on physical therapy effectiveness.
The study involved 50 patients aged 20-75 years (mean 47.5), 72% females. In this group was used fallowing physical therapy technique: cryotherapy, ultrasound therapy, laser therapy, electrical stimulation TENS, iontophoresis, diadynamic and magnetic therapy. Before and after the treatment pain reduction was estimated using visual analogue scale (VAS).
The presented results indicate pain reduction. Patients high evaluate this physical therapy technique. All physical therapy technique reduced pain and edemas. Cryotherapy, ultrasound therapy, laser therapy, electrical stimulation TENS was recognized as the most beneficial physical therapy.
