Streszczenie
Nail involvment is a very common symptom in psoriasis and in some cases can be the sole diagnostic clue. It is an important issue, because of psychological, social and therapeutic problems. Nail psoriasis is often associated with asymmetric oligoarthritis and with psoriasis of early onset. The most common nail changes are pitting, subungual hyperkeratosis, onycholysis and discoloration of nail plates. Diagnostics of nail psoriasis consists of clinical assessment, mycological investigation, capillaroscopy and histopathological examination. Treatment of nail psoriasis is very difficult and long-term.
