Summary
Urinary tract infections are frequent cause of clinic visits. This kind of infection is common among healthy, sexually active young women. Course of disease is benign without long-term medical sequel among them. Urinary tract infections among children, older women or men are more complicated and mostly require detailed diagnosis. The basic information about etiology, patophysiology and treatment are presented in this article. The schemes of therapeutic management were collected on the basis of current guidelines.
