Summary
Introduction. Epilepsy is one from the most frequent, and at children the most frequent disease of nervous arrangement. The serious clinical problem makes up from point of the sight of rescue medicine from the attention on high mortality.
Material and methods. Analysis of paediatric patients treated in the Regional Specialist Hospital in Lodz because of the epilepsy in the period 2008-2009. Analysis it was conducted in the support about medical records. Such parameters were subjected the analysis how: age and the patients sex, the time of day and year, the kind of epilepsy and the time of the hospitalization.
Results. Among treated 244 children (133 girls, 111 boys) in the age 3 months-17 years (mean age 8,56 years) were the cause of the hospitalization the assault of epilepsy.
Conclusions. Episodes of epilepsy relate to young girls than boys more often. The maximum of epilepsy assaults was observed morning hours 8 a.m. and in the month the July. Spontaneous epilepsy and epilepsy teams about the situated beginning are the recognized kind of epilepsy the most often.
