Diagnostyka molekularna nowotworów

Streszczenie
W przedstawionym artykule omówiono różne aspekty wykorzystania zdobyczy biologii molekularnej nowotworów do celów diagnostycznych. Pokrótce przedstawiono opis najczęściej stosowanych metod, ich wady i zalety, a także omówiono zagadnienia związane z wykrywaniem zmian w materiale genetycznym. Szerzej omówiono związki pomiędzy terapią celowaną a nowoczesną diagnostyką genetyczną. Wskazano też na konieczność wypracowania nowych standardów postępowania diagnostycznego, szczególnie w zakresie diagnostyki genowej.

Summary
Based on general biological features of tumor cell various aspects of molecular diagnostics of cancer are disscused. Briefly the most commonly used methods are described and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. The issues relating to the detection of changes in the genetic material are presented. The article also discussed in details the relationship between targeted therapy and the modern genetic diagnosis. The necessity of development of new standards for the diagnosis, especially in terms of gene diagnosis are underlined.
