Streszczenie
Problems are discussed in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with asthma, in whom the symptoms cannot be controlled in standard treatment conducted according to the directives in the report on bronchial asthma management evolved by the group of international experts. Causes of difficult asthma are discussed calling attention to the possibility of coexistence of asthma with other diseases, either increasing the proneness to bronchial obturation or decreasing the response to treatment. Proposals have been included of diagnostic investigations and therapeutic trials are described.
