Streszczenie
The efficacy and the complications of laparoscopic Burch colposuspension and tension-free vaginal tape procedure (TVT) were reviewed. The results of Burch operations (total number of patients 128) were as follows: complete cure reported 72,2% of patients, significant improvement 16,7% and no effect 11,1%. The TVT procedure efficacy (total number of patients 120): complete cure – 94,2%, significant improvement – 4,2%, failure – 1,6% of treated patients. Most common complications of Burch operation were cystotomy and intraoperative bleeding. The complications of TVT procedure included: cystotomy, postoperative voiding difficulties, de novo detrusor instability. We concluded that TVT procedure due to very high efficacy should become the gold standard in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence in women.
