Streszczenie
5-fluorouracil is fluorinated pyrimidine, which interferes with DNA synthesis by blocking methylation of deoxyuridylic acid via inhibition of thymidylate synthetase. 5-fluorouracil inhibits cell proliferation. In dermatology it is used topically, also under occlusion, on actinic keratoses, Bowen disease, superficial basal cell carcinoma and rarely on other diseases. In the present work methods of application, side effects, indications and contrindications are also described
