Summary
Hair loss is a sign appearing in many internal diseases, including diseases of the thyroid gland. 40 patients have been examined – 15 with hyperthyroidism, 15 with hypothyroidism and 10 with euthyroidism. Hair roots were assessed at the onset of treatment. A correlation was demonstrated between hair root changes and thyroid disease.
